What is walk day like?

The event begins at 8:30 with registration and check-in. At 10:00 am the ceremony begins with a few words from some of the doctors from Primary Children's and Huntsman Cancer Institute talking about how CureSearch is helping our local kids. Once they are finished, we invite those families who have lost a valiant warrior to this monster to participate in a moment of silence and balloon release. After that, we honor all the brave children currently fighting and those who have beat their cancers in a medal ceremony. And finally, we will separate into teams and walk one lap around SugarHouse Park.

There will be food, fun and games - all complimentary - until approximately noon. It is an amazing event for the entire family. Ages 16+ are $10 each while 15 and under are FREE. You can choose to physically or virtually walk, as well as just make a donation to a team.

It doesn't matter if your team consists of 1 or 100 people, what matters is that you are there in person or in spirit showing your support and helping us find a cure. They can't fight alone!

Here is a video from our 2012 walk, we have grown significantly since then, but if you've never attended this is a great visual of what to expect.
